Join other local nonprofit professionals and leaders for a half-day deep dive on the changing face of philanthropy. Doors open at 8:30 with a light continental breakfast. The program begins shortly after 9:00am and ends with a full lunch and panel discussion. There will also be a live drawing for a $2,500 grant, and some free marketing services provided by Cause Creative Group.

 

We will cover topics such as disruptive AI technology, leading through change, and what it all means for your cause. There will also be strategy labs where you can interact with your peers in the nonprofit field and an open forum for discussion with our panel on some leading issues impacting philanthropy. ABOUT OUR PANEL MEMBERS

FRED SMITH

Philanthropist, Founder and President of The Gathering

Fred Smith is a graduate of Denver University and Harvard Divinity School. He spent several years as teacher and administrator at Charlotte Christian School in North Carolina and The Stony Brook School in New York before moving to Tyler and joining Bob Buford in founding Leadership Network, where he served as President for 12 years. As well, Fred was the founder of Fourth Partner, a local foundation that was focused on philanthropy and community development within the East Texas area. Fred is also the founder of The Gathering, connecting an international community of givers focused on the support of Christian ministries. He serves as Chairman of the Board of the Robert P. And Linda Buford Foundation as well as a member of the Board of the Health Foundation of East Texas.
